Art of Problem Solving offers textbooks, online classes, and other online resources for the top middle and high school math students in the English-speaking world. Our international online community at www.artofproblemsolving.com has over 60,000 members who have posted nearly 1.5 million messages to our community message board. Many of the best middle and high school students around the world take online math classes at Art of Problem Solving each year. Among our students are many winners of major national contests such as MATHCOUNTS, ARML, and the USA Mathematical Olympiad. We are located in Alpine, California, 30 miles east of San Diego.
We currently have one position available.
Our online school manager will organize the school schedule and manage our teams of graders and teaching assistants, most of whom are students at top universities. The school manager will also teach online classes, help develop new courses, augment existing course materials, communicate with students and parents about Art of Problem Solving's online school, and help develop new offerings at Art of Problem Solving.
Undergraduate or graduate degree in a math-related field. Strong communication skills are required, and writing samples will be requested as part of the interview process. Teaching experience is preferred, particularly experience working with high-performing math students, but is not required for candidates with strong mathematics, communication, and organizational backgrounds.
The position is full-time in Alpine, CA, and the company will assist with relocation expenses. The position is available immediately. Salary is negotiable and commensurate with experience.
