Transcript for the Math Jam "WOOT Math Jam" on Aug 3.
Math Jam hosted by rrusczyk (Richard Rusczyk ).
nsato19:31:29
Welcome to today's WOOT Math Jam!
nsato19:31:36
Before we get started I would like to take a brief moment to explain our virtual classroom to those who have not previously participated in a Math Jam or one of our online classes.
nsato19:31:51
As many of you know, this classroom is moderated, meaning that participants can type into the classroom, but only the moderators can choose a comment to drop into the classroom. This helps keep the session organized and on track. Also, only moderators can enter into private chats with other people in the classroom.
nsato19:32:10
Today we're here to answer questions that you may have about WOOT!
nsato19:32:19
WOOT stands for Worldwide Online Olympiad Training.
nsato19:32:32
Plus, it's fun to say... "Woot!"
nsato19:32:41
WOOT is a 7-month online training program for students who are preparing for their national math Olympiad or the International Mathematical Olympiad. WOOT 2009-10 will run from September 2009 to April 2010.
nsato19:32:52
WOOT is sponsored by D. E. Shaw group, Jane Street Capital, and Two Sigma Investments, LLC:

nsato19:33:33
Why WOOT?
nsato19:33:45
Most students have little or no Olympiad-level experience or instruction before they take a National Olympiad. WOOT remedies this problem by offering test-taking and solution-writing practice with feedback, classes with past Olympiad winners, and collaboration with the some of the top high school math students in the world.
nsato19:34:12
Specifically, WOOT will include the following activities:
nsato19:34:34
(1) 16 2-hour online lectures. Each class will be offered twice to alleviate time conflicts. (2) 8 handouts that will contain articles and practice problems, that will help students prepare for the lectures. (3) 3 Practice AIME-style tests and 6 Practice Olympiad-style tests. (4) Detailed feedback on student work on each practice Olympiad. (5) WOOT message board for discussing lectures, post-lecture problem lists, and past WOOT tests. (6) 24-hour online classroom access for WOOT participants to collaborate.
nsato19:35:14
Numerous International Math Olympiad participants and USA Mathematical Olympiad winners (including the current Art of Problem Solving instructors) will be WOOT instructors.
nsato19:35:36
WOOT is ideal for students preparing for a National Olympiad such as the USA Mathematical Olympiad. Due to generous sponsorship from D. E. Shaw & Co. and Art of Problem Solving, 2009 Math Olympiad Summer Program participants are invited to join WOOT for free. Therefore, all participants in WOOT will have the opportunity to train with the top high school students in the United States.
nsato19:36:22
The tuition for WOOT is $845, but if you register by August 17, the cost of the program is only $695.
nsato19:36:44
Here is the URL for the WOOT page:
nsato19:37:05
At this point I'll open the discussion for questions.
pianogirl19:38:11
Will we do any problems?
rrusczyk19:38:12
We will not be doing any problems tonight.
math.is.intense19:38:53
How do you get into the math olympiad summer program?
nsato19:38:55
You qualify based on your performance on the USAMO. See this page for more details:
Kacha452019:39:20
What will we be doing tonight then?
rrusczyk19:39:22
A question-and-answer session about the program.
gomushroom19:39:50
What prerequistie should one have before taking this class?
Neil30z19:39:51
Does WOOT help prepare for AIME?
rrusczyk19:39:52
You should be very confident that you can get at least 5 AIME questions right.
nsato19:39:56
Absolutely, WOOT is geared towards preparation for the AIME and USAMO.
theax19:41:43
how much material do the handouts cover?
rrusczyk19:41:46
It varies from handout to handout. They range from 5-6 to 20-30 pages long.
rrusczyk19:42:01
They cover a lot of material, but you have to really work through them to get the most out of them.
Coldblast19:42:13
If you are doing the MOEMS, is this the right course to take?
win19:42:13
can this also help u on the AMC8
rrusczyk19:42:36
No; this class is far beyond MOEMS and AMC8. If you are preparing for those, you should consider our Introduction series of classes.
The.remembered.user19:42:56
About waht percent of the problems we do will be Past Olympiad Problems?
nsato19:42:57
It's hard to place an exact figure; certainly a large majority.
theax19:43:25
is this more of a problem solving class or a learning styled class, in your opinion?
rrusczyk19:43:27
I'm not sure what you're asking -- ideally, the two are integrated. That's part of the goal of Art of Problem Solving -- to teach problem solving as part of the "curriculum".
Neil30z19:43:39
What topics will be covered in the course?
rrusczyk19:43:45
A syllabus is here:
math_guy7719:43:50
Will this class help me in preparation for AMC 12 or AMC 10?
PowerOfPi19:43:50
Will this help on mastering the AMC10/12?
rrusczyk19:44:09
It's a good bit beyond these tests for the most part -- it might help with the hardest couple problems.
cipos219:44:16
Do the handouts encompass everything in class?
nsato19:44:17
No. The purpose of the handouts is to give enough background material so that everyone is up to speed when the class starts.
mathrockstar19:44:24
do we get any worksheets by mail too
rrusczyk19:44:25
There is no mail.
brianzhao200919:44:34
Will this prepare for standarized tests like SAT and PSAT?
jackandraka19:44:34
Is this good for Mathcounts
rrusczyk19:44:43
No; this test is far beyond those tests.
limac19:44:54
About how challenging will WOOT be to someone who only barely scores about a 4 or a 5 on the AIME(well practice AIME)?
rrusczyk19:45:21
Quite challenging; some of the material will be a bit beyond you, but if you ask a lot of questions, you'll learn a lot.
PowerOfPi19:46:40
How many problems are there per class?
nsato19:46:41
It depends on the class. On average, about 8-10 problems. But for each problem, we take a step-by-step, thorough discussion of the solution.
theax19:47:15
how much of precalculus will be a prerequisite?
The.remembered.user19:47:15
What knowledge does the course assume?
rrusczyk19:47:17
This is a hard question to answer. Some of the classes will assume little of what's called "precalculus", because some of the topics we cover are not in the standard curriculum anywhere. Some of the topics do require familiarity with things like trigonometry. Performance on tests like the AIME are a better guide.
k4mc19:47:31
for the olympiad practice, will we send in our soulution and get feedback
rrusczyk19:47:33
Yes.
math_guy7719:47:51
can you take both scheduled classes for each week?
1330219:47:51
Will the two sessions be covering the same thing/
nsato19:47:52
We encourage students to only attend one lecture, but you can go to both if you really want to. The lecture is the same for both Monday and Thursday.
limac19:48:05
Do the AIME Problem Series and WOOT kinf od overlap on some of the materials?
rrusczyk19:48:07
They overlap a little in subject areas, but not in problems. The AIME classes would in part be extra practice for some of the concepts you learn in WOOT.
harbinger19:48:46
Is there an AoPS textbook for WOOT?
rrusczyk19:48:48
No; we will discuss recommended books on the WOOT message board.
archerkinggod19:49:09
I don't get the whole lecture thing. Where do you go to attend it?
rrusczyk19:49:11
In this classroom.
rrusczyk19:49:14
Yes
buggy11219:49:19
by message board do you mean a forum?
rrusczyk19:49:21
Yes.
harbinger19:49:30
Will WOOT help with the ARML Competition?
nsato19:49:31
To some extent, but like I said earlier, it's more directed towards AIME and USAMO.
RollandWu19:49:52
What days of the week for the class(es)? How long each class will last?
mathrockstar19:49:52
how long is each class
rrusczyk19:49:54
Classes are Monday and Thursday; 2 hours. (Thursday is a repeat of Monday, so you pick one or the other.)
math.is.intense19:50:16
is reading any of the Art of Problem Solving series needed to take before taking WOOT?
rrusczyk19:50:21
Not required, but it sure wouldn't hurt :)
gh62519:50:39
Would WOOT be the right level for me if I scored a 6 on the AIME?
rrusczyk19:50:41
Yes, particularly if you continue working between now and the start of WOOT.
The.remembered.user19:50:59
just USAMO? or more or less any olympiad?
rrusczyk19:51:01
It will help for "lesser" olympiads, too.
e^i_penguin19:51:06
What is the difficulty level of the problems we will be doing in class? Roughly around USAMO level or slightly higher?
nsato19:51:07
The difficulty ranges from AMC-12/AIME level to USAMO level.
The.remembered.user19:51:52
About how many problems are in the post-lecture problem lists
rrusczyk19:51:54
Around a dozen. There are some in the handouts, as well, and around 3 extra problems-per-week as part of a "Problem of the Day" feature on the message board.
Jason2760319:52:56
how much woot material is covered in aops volume 2?
RollandWu19:52:56
Compared with the book "Art of Problem Soving II", WOOT is more challenging or not?
rrusczyk19:52:58
WOOT is more challenging on average than AoPS Volume 2. There is some overlap in subject coverage, so AoPS 2 is good prep for WOOT.
PowerOfPi19:53:06
Who are the instructors?
buggy11219:53:06
Are the teachers qualified?
rrusczyk19:53:11
I think we are ;)
rrusczyk19:53:15
Here are bios:
theax19:53:23
im not sure if this was asked, so - how much trigonometry, roughly, will we need to know before woot?
nsato19:53:24
You will need to be familiar with the definitions of the trig functions. Knowing the major trig identities would help too.
rrusczyk19:53:34
Many of us have won national olympiads, and we've all taught numerous students to do the same.
The.remembered.user19:53:43
Will we have a different teacher each week?
rrusczyk19:53:45
Yes, the teachers will vary.
maths.mnms19:53:58
Is there an age limit for WOOT?
rrusczyk19:54:01
No
The.remembered.user19:54:28
we can take it if we are 50 years old?
rrusczyk19:54:30
yes
limac19:54:43
Also, does this course require that you have at least some exposure to olympiad type problems?
rrusczyk19:54:45
It helps, but is not "required"
thing119:56:19
How does WOOT differ from AMY or studying out of a book?
rrusczyk19:56:21
There is a lot more direct interaction between students and instructors, and between students and other students, in WOOT than in AMY or studying out of a book. There is also the opportunity of taking practice tests, which will teach you how to approach the test-taking experience itself.
a.shi19:57:52
Are you going to post the solutions weekly for all practices?
nsato19:57:53
Yes, we will post solutions for all message board problems.
modularmarc10119:58:17
Does WOOT make a better choice than taking several other classes?
rrusczyk19:58:20
This depends upon your individual situation. For any of you who want recommendations, please email classes@artofproblemsolving.com with you math background (classes and contests, as well as your interests and goals). I will give you a personal recommendation then by email. (Not in the Math Jam -- there are way too many of you to give you 1-1 suggestions tonight!!)
The.remembered.user19:59:08
are the WOOT tests student made?
nsato19:59:09
One practice AIME will be based on student-proposed problems. The rest of the tests will be assembled by the instructors.
cogitosum19:59:47
How much work per week does the class entail? I am taking calc 4 now but have little math competition experience.
rrusczyk19:59:49
I recommend expecting to spend a good 5-7 hours/week to get the most out of WOOT. For the most part, this time is flexible. If you're jammed up one week, you can wait a couple weeks and then catch up.
RollandWu20:00:26
There is no Intermediate Geometry courses so far offered, will that be covered in WOOT?
rrusczyk20:00:28
Yes, we will cover the sort of geometry you'll need for hard AIME problems and Olympiad problems in WOOT.
Cogswell20:00:47
Do you have many students who sign up for WOOT but then decide that it is too difficult and drop out?
rrusczyk20:00:49
Yes; you can drop before Oct 1 for a full refund. You cannot drop after that.
theax20:01:45
are there any, in general, prerequisites to each class? like are we assumed to have knowledge of anything outside of the intermediate courses (algebra and counting & probability)?
rrusczyk20:01:47
We try to cover prereq's in handouts. For example, we have a class on Group Theory. We'll give you a handout to cover the basics of Group Theory, so we don't spend the whole class teaching it. We'll also discuss it on the message board, so you can make sure you have the concepts down.
siviba20:01:58
what topics are covered in WOOT?
maths.mnms20:02:04
Is WOOT a textbook kind of class or is it just a student question teacher answer thing?
nsato20:02:06
The WOOT class is taught primarily through the lectures. There will also be handouts, message board problems, and tests.
Complex_Ninja20:02:11
will we be able to print out the rxcersises/ problems?
rrusczyk20:02:13
Yes
inoit20:02:39
Are there a lot of geometry problems, b/c I 'm not very good at geometry
rrusczyk20:02:41
Yes; there's plenty of geometry.
The.remembered.user20:02:55
Does WOOT mainly cover the easy problems on the USAMO (#1/4) or the harder ones?
rrusczyk20:03:19
We cover both.
rrusczyk20:04:43
Both
1330220:05:16
Are there weekly problems or homework?
nsato20:05:19
There will be problems posted on the message board after the Thursday lecture.
buggy11220:05:35
What is "required" for WOOT?
rrusczyk20:05:46
Nothing is "required". There are some fundamentals that are expected, such as everything through Algebra 2, and some problem solving experience .
maths.mnms20:06:35
Is each lecture based on one topic or many topics?
nsato20:06:36
Each class will focus on a particular topic.
PowerOfPi20:06:55
How is W00T different than the other AoPS classes other than being harder?
rrusczyk20:06:57
Mock Olympiads, considerably harder, mock AIMEs, the peer group is generally even higher than our already very high level, there are more handouts.
The.remembered.user20:07:29
Will we get feedback on our solutions in the forums or is the feedback mainly for the practice olympiads?
rrusczyk20:07:30
Just on the olympiads, although you will find that people pick apart your message board solutions, particularly if you ask them to.
inquisitivity20:07:33
Do you get a grade at the end of the course?
rrusczyk20:07:35
No
siviba20:07:50
are the regular going to held like this?
rrusczyk20:07:51
Yes; the classes are held in this room.
Complex_Ninja20:08:00
how are we going to give you our solutions to the contests? will it be all typed up in latex or is there another way?
rrusczyk20:08:01
Handwrite & fax.
theax20:08:51
are there message board math problems?
rrusczyk20:08:53
Yes. After each class there are problems, and we have a running "Problem of the Day" feature on Monday, Wednesday, Friday that gives extra problems.
siviba20:09:10
do u get any homework
rrusczyk20:09:20
These, and the handouts, can be considered homework.
PowerOfPi20:09:22
What kinds of things are expected to be happening between Monday and Friday? I mean, are there problems on the message board or anything?
rrusczyk20:09:27
Yes, as mentioned above.
Mewto5555520:09:57
How much time (about) will all the out of class work take per week?
rrusczyk20:09:59
Expect to spend ~5 hours/wk to get the most out of class, though you may spend more time some weeks than others.
buggy11220:10:02
by algebra 2, do you mean the second algebra class? (The one taken in 9/10th grade)
rrusczyk20:10:04
Yes.
mathrockstar20:10:12
what are the class timing on mon & thu
mathrockstar20:11:21
Can same student attend both classes mon & thu if in case he needs to understand the concept better with single registration
rrusczyk20:11:22
Yes, you can attend both, but we recommend that you lurk (rather than answer questions) in the second class. (You can ask questions in the second session, of course!)
PowerOfPi20:12:15
What is the student to instructor ratio? How fast do the instructors get to our questions?
rrusczyk20:12:16
We get to questions a lot faster than we do tonight! That's because usually there aren't 40 questions coming in at once.
math_guy7720:12:41
will i have to possess extensive geometry knowledge?
nsato20:12:43
No, but you should have a working knowledge of basic Euclidean geometry (such as the material covered in our Introduction to Geometry textbook).
rrusczyk20:12:46
We have assistants in the room to handle questions, and get extra assistants if we have a lot of students. All the questions get answered pretty handily.
maths.mnms20:13:23
What will happen if you don't spend enough time on WOOT? Can you be kicked out?
rrusczyk20:13:24
You'll learn less than the other students. You won't get kicked out.
The.remembered.user20:13:37
Do we handwrite our solutions to the practice olympiads or type them?
rrusczyk20:13:39
Handwrite
maths.mnms20:13:46
Is Woot an online class?
rrusczyk20:13:52
The class sessions are online.
theax20:14:30
wait, so a summary - the handouts give background information and you learn most of the advanced/new stuff in the class, right? And there is no textbook, right?
rrusczyk20:14:32
Some handouts give background so we won't have to cover it in class. Some will be very advanced information for the very advanced students that may or may not be related to class.
The.remembered.user20:14:37
How many assisstants will there be answering questions? It seems that me that there are too many people to have everyone's questions answered eaach class.
nsato20:14:39
Usually one. Like rrusczyk just said, tonight's a special case, because it's all questions coming from students.
rrusczyk20:15:32
The questions will be answered sometimes as whispered comments, sometimes as 1-1 chats, and sometimes in the main room, if several students have the same question.
rrusczyk20:16:39
Each lecture is focused, but may cover a few topics within that focus. For example, we won't do a whole class on similar triangles, but might do a whole class on related geometry techniques.
GoldenFrog161820:16:49
what material is covered in the orientation class?
nsato20:16:51
Enough background material so that all the students are up to speed when class starts. (Assuming they have read the handout.)
maths.mnms20:17:30
Do the teachers lecture from their home or a hall where the lecture is recorded and then put online?
rrusczyk20:17:32
The classes are in this room.
rrusczyk20:17:40
They aren't audio/video lectures.
PowerOfPi20:18:08
How fast will the messages go up in the class?
rrusczyk20:18:12
A little slower than what we're doing tonight, but you'll be spending plenty of time in-between thinking about really hard math problems, so it won't *seem* slower.
theax20:18:30
do the practice aimes and usamos take the place of the typical challenge sets in the regular aops classes?
rrusczyk20:18:31
In a sense, yes.
Complex_Ninja20:18:40
Do we need to know LaTeX
rrusczyk20:18:41
No
archerkinggod20:18:47
hello? I accidently clicked the pink eraser button, where are all the other comments??!?!?!?!?
buggy11220:18:47
Do we recieve a copy of the lecture?
nsato20:18:49
Don't worry, a transcript of this session will be available afterwards (like all of our lectures).
Stoyan Stoyanov20:19:33
what is going to be the average difficulty of the problems compared to the hardest(the third and sixth problem) IMO problems?
rrusczyk20:19:35
The average difficulty will be well below IMO #6 -- it would be hard to learn if all the problems were at that level! There will be some problems at that level though!
buggy11220:19:42
Are transcripts of regular classes abailable afterward?
rrusczyk20:19:44
Yes
harbinger20:20:18
Will linear/matrix algebra be covered at all?
rrusczyk20:20:19
Very little, if at all. We cover that in our Precalculus course.
pianogirl20:20:40
Where can we find the transcript for this MAth Jam?
archerkinggod20:20:42
Where do we get the transcripts?
rrusczyk20:20:44
It will be under the Transcripts tab on the Math Jams page in the Community section of the site.
The.remembered.user20:21:20
it seems to me that there will be too many people enrolled that everyone's questions during the lecture won't all be answered. Has the been a problem for previous students?
math.is.intense20:21:20
what is the maximum number of students allowed in WOOT?
rrusczyk20:21:23
No; if we have "too many" students, we address that by having more class days and having more assistants in the class to handle the questions.
chhan9220:22:20
if i got 5 in 2009 AIME B and taking AIME class in AOPS, am I ready for this class?
rrusczyk20:22:22
If you have been doing plenty of math since then, yes.
PowerOfPi20:23:02
So there could be more class days? Is the schedule topics and dates subject to change?
rrusczyk20:23:04
The topics are not subject to change. The existing dates shouldn't change. We may add *additional* class times.
math.is.intense20:23:35
what are some of the theorems and formulas WOOT will teach us?
rrusczyk20:23:51
That's a long list! Take a look at the schedule to see what sorts of things are covered.
PowerOfPi20:24:07
How much does the average student improve after W00T?
nsato20:24:08
Are there any more questions?
rrusczyk20:24:09
Depends on how much work they put in.
theax20:25:14
what is the difference between aime classes and woot?
rrusczyk20:25:15
WOOT is harder, and has Olympiad preparation. It also has practice tests, more problems, and handouts to learn from.
PowerOfPi20:25:36
Does it still help if you do W00T again if it was hard for you the first time?
rrusczyk20:25:37
Absolutely; many students take WOOT multiple times. That's why we have to mix it up from year to year.
a.shi20:26:07
Will WOOT cover most of topics for AIME and USAMO?
rrusczyk20:26:09
It will cover many of the topics. Not "most" or "all" -- that's pretty hard to do in the time allotted, but it will cover a great many of them.
PowerOfPi20:26:40
Will W00T teach us how to write a solution for hard problems?
rrusczyk20:26:42
We hope so. We are going to try to add some formal instruction on mathematical writing to WOOT this year. We're in the process of working out how we're going to do that.
Global20:26:58
I don't know if this was already answered, but what is the due date for registration?
nsato20:26:59
The tuition for WOOT is $845, but if you register by August 17, the cost of the program is only $695. The deadline to register is October 10. The deadline to drop WOOT is October 2.
Complex_Ninja20:28:29
As a first time olympiad taker, lets say i take one of the national olympiads what would i approximatley get? (Assuming i put in a huge amount of time and effort into WOOT)
rrusczyk20:28:31
That's very hard to say -- there is huge variance in the difficulty of the tests, and huge variance in any single student's performance from day to day. At the very least, you should go into the test feeling confident you'll have a shot at some of the problems, and that you'll know what to do about your write-up once you've solved one.
buggy11220:28:40
If we register for woot on October 10th does that mean we can't drop out?
rrusczyk20:28:42
Correct.
buggy11220:29:22
How will WOOT this year be diffrent fomr previous ones
nsato20:29:23
There will be fewer topics, but we will go more in-depth for each topic. For example, there will be three lectures on polynomials. Then WOOT the after will cover a different set of topics, and so on.
modularmarc10120:29:34
i have to go now but just one more question. Im in 9th grade and I pretty sure ill make it to aime this year.. would it be a too much of a loss to wait another year b4 takin WOOT?
rrusczyk20:29:36
The main thing to think about is your chance of making red MOP. The bar is lower for 9th graders to make MOP than for any other grades. At least it was in past years, and I haven't heard of that changing for 2010 (but it hasn't been confirmed).

Is it possible for classes to run over the time limit? If so, how often will that happen?
rrusczyk20:30:21
You can count on it happening when I teach, because I get caught up in what I'm teaching in WOOT. Most of the teachers are better about that than I am, and hit the two hour mark close to on the nose.
modularmarc10120:30:40
what is red MOP?
rrusczyk20:30:42
A branch of MOP for top 9th grade students.
theax20:30:59
does woot cover more material than aime classes?
rrusczyk20:31:00
Much more.
modularmarc10120:31:18
but wat is MOP?
rrusczyk20:31:19
Math Olympiad Program -- for top performers on the USAMO
kingsley020:31:58
I took the Olympic Geometry course last year. Will the Geometry material covered in WOOT be less since there is less class time devoted to Olympic Geometry?
rrusczyk20:32:00
Our coverage of geometry won't be altered based on the Olympiad Geometry course. We will cover plenty of geometry.
dajoe20:32:12
Is there going to be a book for WOOT?
rrusczyk20:32:14
No. There is no required text.

A question about WOOT Math Jams: How does the one on September 8 differ from this one?
rrusczyk20:32:23
It will be the same.
maths.mnms20:33:24
Do the WOOT topics change each year?
nsato20:33:25
Yes.
darkmapler20:33:53
With an AIME score of 5 or 6, would you recommend Woot or the AIME class to prepare for AIME and possible USAMO qualification?
rrusczyk20:33:55
It depends on what type of student you are -- if you are the type to work hard and ask lots of questions, then you should be OK. If you don't have much time, then the AIME classes would be better. If you're more interested in focusing on a single subject for a few months, then the Intermediate classes would be better. If you are focused on having a fighting shot to get some problems on the USAMO, then WOOT would be best.
rrusczyk20:34:10
Are there any more questions?
kingsley020:35:46
I guess I was asking if more Olympiad Geometry is taught in the Olympiad Geometry course than in the WOOT classes?
rrusczyk20:35:47
Yes, geometry is covered more in the Olympiad Geometry class than in WOOT; the former has 12 classes and WOOT has 4 geometry-centered classes each year.
harbinger20:36:11
What do you mean by, "If you don't have much time"?
rrusczyk20:36:13
If you are only going to spend a couple hours a week on your math prep, then you'd likely be better off with our AIME classes than WOOT.
maths.mnms20:36:42
How do you choose the teachers for WOOT?
rrusczyk20:36:44
Most of them are full-time AoPS employees. Others are "friends of the family" that we know to be good instructors.
pinksky20:37:11
How many hours of work load do you expect from WOOT?
rrusczyk20:37:13
Expect to spend 5 hours a week to get the most out of it. Some students spend more. You get out of it what you put into it.
frankw10020:38:16
why no voice?
rrusczyk20:38:23
That explains some of the reasons.
pinksky20:38:26
does 5 hours include the lecture time or in addition to the lecture?
rrusczyk20:38:45
Includes class time. But the time will be pretty variable -- some weeks you'll work more than others.
nsato20:39:09
