I'm going to be applying to PROMYS for summer 2026, and I was wondering if anyone could share any tips/advice.

I applied for the first time this year and got rejected. Before starting next year's pset and application, I will have around a month to prepare. I'm also going to be taking Euler Circle's transition to proofs class. Does anyone have any recommendations on how I should approach the problems? If you've gotten in, how creative do you think your solutions were, and what helped you develop the skills to come up with such solutions?

If anyone has any book, course, or problem recommendations that I should look at to prepare better, it would be much appreciated!

Who are we?
We are the Sacramento Math Community, a chapter of CNCM. Our members comprise of people who love math from Sacramento, as well as members from around California.

What is SMC Individual?
SMC Individual is a math competition that will be held on Saturday, November 21, 2020. The competition will have one event, an individual test. The test will consist of 25 short answer questions and all answers will be integers. The difficulty of the test ranges from early AMC 12 to late AMC 12. It is a 90-minute test and all AMC 12 rules apply.

When can I take the test?
The test is open all day on November 21, and our form will time you for 90 minutes. The form will auto-submit when time is up. Clarification: you can take the test any time on the day of the competition.

Who can join?
Anyone is welcome to join, you do not have to be from Sacramento.

Are there prizes?
We are working on prizes. Likely there will be Amazon gift cards as prizes. We will also have a raffle for a free class with Daily Challenge with Poh-Shen Loh for students under 10th grade.

How can I sign up?

I dont know if this is just me but the AOPS website seems to be lagging a lot, sometimes it takes 30 seconds to a minute for a page to load, my friend is having the same issue, does anyone know what's going on?

Processing module python not working

The following code doesn't work, because canvas isn't implemented for the processing module:
import processing
def setup():
    processing.size(200, 200)
def draw():
    processing.ellipse(100, 100, 50, 50)
    processing.noLoop()
processing.run()

I believe this is an easy fix, someone just forgot to add the line "Sk.canvas = outcanvas;"(or something similar) in the code for the pywindow, which would give an output.
