From doing the first chapter of AOPS V1, I think I know this...

The square root is the same as to the 1/2 power, as shinwoo said.

So then, you have x (3)(1/2), which simplifies to x 3/2.

This means the square root of x to the power of 3,
square root of x= x^1/2
Cube of x=x^3
x^((3)(1/2))
x^(3/2)

dwx -- the ^ and _ commands only affect the immediate next character, unless you enclose things in brackets. Thus, you meant to write x^{3/2}, not x^3/2. .

Actually, you are all wrong. That is not a simplified radical; that is just turning a radical into a power. Therefore, the answer is .

I was trying to get metsfan001's answer, but I guess you could consider the rest of your guy's answers correct too.

sorry

\displaystyle \sqrt{x\sqrt{x\sqrt{x}}}=\displaystyle \sqrt{x\sqrt{x\cdot x^\frac{1}{2}}}=\displaystyle \sqrt{x\sqrt{x^\frac{3}{2}}}=\displaystyle \sqrt{x\cdot x^\frac{3}{4}}=\displaystyle \sqrt{x^\frac{7}{4}}=x^\frac{7}{8}
