Re: Problem
asymptote

Then I copied the file "asymptote.sty" from the Asymptote setup file but pasted it in "miktex\bin" and some other directories , but IT DID NOT WORK.
I'm not surprised it didn't work as asymptote.sty is not a binary file.
Have you installed Asymptote using the instructions at Asymptote: Getting Started/Windows/Downloads and Installation? Did you set up TexnicCenter as in Using TeXnicCenter for Asymptote?

I think you must compile in more steps:
1. asy filename.tex
2. pdflatex filename.tex
3. asy filename.tex

and so on... But I recommend working with single .asy files, that compiling them to .pdf or .eps (.pdf in my case) and then inserting them as picture. I use batch file asycomp.bat with this code:

Code:
"C:\Program Files\Asymptote\asy.exe" -f pdf %1

and compile like this (asycomp.bat is in folder where the .asy files are):

Code:
asycomp filename.asy

Thanks a lot for your advice! I followed the instructions here and after repeated pitfalls and failures, I at last succeeded in producing images along with the documents. Blush

I forgot to copy and paste the file "asymptote.sty" in "C:\Program Files\MiKTeX 2.7\tex\latex\asymptote" after creating a folder "asymptote". I am happy now that I fixed the problem correctly! Very Happy
