AGMath Challenge
Starts Friday November 13th

I run AGMath.com, a site geared towards advanced middle school instruction and competition preparation at the middle-school level ... hopefully many of you have visited the site already. If you haven't, I hope you will find that there is an enormous amount of useful competition preparation material available there.

This year I am sharing some of the competition preparation materials I use with anyone interested in challenging problem solving in the first annual AGMath Challenge.

Information on how to participate can be found on the newly created page of my site here.

If you would like to "sign-up" in this thread, I suspect it will help spur interest and participation if you post your interest here ... anyone is welcome as long as they are currently in 8th grade or below.

Thanks, and good luck!

Friday the 13th? Seems to contradict the "good luck" Smile

On the website, it's probably better to link to here rather than to your user profile.

You do not need to sign up ... send in answers after each set is posted and I will keep track of results for anyone who submits answers.

With that said, I would like to have an idea of how many are interested, so please post a quick "I'm interested" in this thread if you plan on completing the problem sets.

Thanks.

If I have time, I'll definitely be doing this (and I think I can - Thomas the Engine said that means I really can!) and it sounds great. Are there prizes?

No prizes ... I suppose I could offer a copy of my book to the overall winner, but chances are the overall winner will know most of the math in my book... maybe I will offer a random drawing ... and LaTeX, you will of course be participating =)
