Singapore Results! Better each time!

KT: 2 1 7 7 7 2 26
CS: 2 7 0 7 0 2 18
DC: 2 1 1 7 7 7 25
YS: 0 7 7 7 2 3 26
ZY: 0 1 6 7 7 7 28
JW: 2 4 7 7 2 0 22
Total: 145

As you can see, 1 was our HARDEST problem. Very strange IMO this is. 4 was easiest, follwed by 3, due to our not so secret inequality-whack training sessions. And of course, our three observers (Me too!) helped in coordination, so our poor team leader didn't have to stay up till 4am to go throught the solutions. 5 is third easiest, and 2 and 6 are the hardest except for 1.

What do we owe this weird score distribution to? Who cares! We got 145 points!

Congratulations to the Singapore contestants for their excellent performance. Some of you really owe us a treat. Others... we were regrettably unable to help.

But it's over now, so to those who may be reading this, it is already a great achievement to represent Singapore. Even if you did not really get what you wanted, the experiences will remain with you for a lifetime, whereas no one would care about the colour of your medal several years down the road. You were there, in Mexico, in 2005, and you were hit by a hurricane. (Ok, not yet, but soon I believe)

Congrats! You know what they say now: "I have survived both the IMO and the Hurricane in Mexico" Rotfl

Clap Congratulations to the Singapore team! Clap2

Yep, those are excellent results. A pity about Qn 1, but hey, let's not sweat the small stuff.

Y'know, if our score continues to be strictly increasing from year to year.... Mr. Green First Prize

Go to sleep already! Got to get up early for Chichen Itza.

Just got back from the jury meeting. We have 4 Silvers and 2 Bronzes. Silver is at 23, the rest is irrelevant. Ha ha.

Edit: Hey, I'm named behind Calvin. No fair! Ok, ok, just kidding.

And we are ranked 14th!

And may I once again draw attention to our well done Q3? Ok, so the solutions were all ugly-argly whack-majorisation, but points are points.

And I must also add, we are NOT a former communist state.

So, I am sure the next few observers for Slovenia 2006 will do an even better job, and get us into the top 10 (2004:18th-2005:14th-2006:10th)? Ha ha. Just kidding. I doubt it will ever happen, but please prove me wrong!
