Value of C limit

How would you find c in the function (f) which is continuous from (-infinity,+infinity)

f(x)= 2x+c if x<-1
3(x+2)^1/2 if x>-1

you would take c s.t. f_{1}(-1) = f_{2}(-1), where f_1(x)=2x+c and f_2(x)=3\sqrt{x+2}

Indeed, and that implies that c = 5.
