5th grade-took trig at a university
6th grade-(moved to florida) and they stuck me into this online program to do ALL THE MATH I HAD DONE AGAIN, went until Algebra 1
6th grade-(changed schools)stuck me in an Algebra 1 class so I was even slower
7th grade-Made many silly mistakes on precalc entrance test and I'm stuck in Algebra 2.

Total genius. I don't even know any trig and am taking alg. 1. Sad

And I didn't know any schools let you take calc in middle school. I'm not even sure if I'm allowed to take geometry next year for 8th grade.

Um, well I skipped "two grades" in math, if you even count it as that.

Starting in middle school:
6th grade: Pre Algebra
7th grade: Algebra 1
8th grade: (Current) Geometry

Prediction:
9th grade: Algebra 2
10th grade: Precalculus & AP Stats
11th grade: AP Calc
12th grade: Some random math class. Probably Quantitive and Financial math. Too bad my high school fails too much to have more than 2 AP math classes.

Pre Algebra - Pre Calculus: Elementary school.

Then I took a break and studied various types of math informally; discrete mathematics, number theory, probability theory, game theory, geometry, etc.

In school:
7th grade: Algebra 1
8th grade: Geometry

In reality, at home, I learned:
7th grade: Calculus
8th grade: I didn't do that much math. I went to The Math Circle in Boston, where we learned some quantum mechanics and some measure theory that I don't remember understanding very well, and I did some contest math and a tiny bit of abstract algebra.

5th- regular 5th grade math that everyone takes and accelerated 6th grade math
6th- Pre-Algebra (accelerated 1 grade)
7th- Algebra 1 (accelerated 1 grade)
8th- Geometry (accelerated 1 grade)

Summer right after 8th-took Algebra 2 through EPGY
9th (current)- Pre-AP Calculus (accelerated 2 grades)

I should be taking AP Calculus BC next year (10th).

Edit: Forgot to clarify a few things:
1) When I say "accelerated," it means accelerated in relation to the highest class a "normal" person could be in. For example, if someone got all A's in my 8th grade, they would be put into Geometry in 9th grade, etc.
2) If someone in my high school did the absolute minimum math that they could do, in 9th they would be in Algebra A, in 10th Algebra B (Algebra A plus Algebra B equals Algebra 1), and in 11th they would be in "Technical Geometry," a simplified version of Geometry.

Hmmm, I hope I get this right.

6th (skipped whatever was before it) Algebra 2
7th Geometry, Precalc, Trig
8th Calc 1

Of course, my middle school didn't offer this Rolling Eyes it was through homeschooling.

I'm not looking forward to next year when I'm taking geo for 8th grade.........

It's not offered at the middle school Question so I have to take it at the high school, which is next to the middle school, but the class is on the opposite end so I'm going to be tardy like every day next year to math Shocked

Maybach: If you think thats bad, it takes 10 minutes from when I get out of class from HS Geometry to get to MS Algebra 1, plus my parents getting there late (yeah, they do it every day). Oh yeah, my middle school class starts 10 minutes before my HS class ends.

1-6th: There was only one option, and that was normal math. It wasn't because they didn't let people skip classes, it was because they didn't have advanced classes.
7th: Moved to a different school. Apparently, I missed a 6th grade placement exam in which they divided math students into lower level and higher level, so I was automatically put in the lower level, which was so basic it wasn't even funny. After asking the counselors and teachers, they let me be in the "advanced math", which was called Pre-Algebra, but it was really a review of Order of Operations and such.
8th: They said there was no possible way I could skip Algebra 1. After pleading to various people in the school, they finally let me go up to Enriched Geometry, but I would still have to take Algebra 1, making me miss band (though through a complex schedule, I can still take lessons and get credit), hence my situation above. Also, the Enriched Geometry class is ridiculously centered around formulas and rules.

Even though age-wise I am supposed to be in 7th grade, I am in 8th, taking Algebra 1 and Enriched Geometry (the class after Algebra 1, and only the people in the "upper level" can take it). Hopefully, I can make up for being behind by taking summer school and skipping classes. So Algebra 2 summer next year, the class after that next year during school (I think it might be Trig, maybe PreCalc).

7th grade-Pre algebra and a little Algebra 1 for the last month or two of the school year. Boring.

Summer before 8th-Algebra 1 w/ AoPS

8th-(current) Alg.1 and 2 (I'm homeschooled, and my math curriculum goes over different kinds of stuff than AoPS did. So I have to do another semester of Algebra 1. Sad ) Then I take Algebra 2 second semester.

9th-Either Honors Geo (if I go to public high school and can't skip Sad ) or Alg. 2. If I do my Alg. 2 curriculum I get to skip Geometry. Mr. Green It covers Geometry and Algebra 2.
