I'm pretty sure that is just 18\cdot 10\cdot 24= \boxed{\$43.20} since I'm pretty sure they would ask for dollars not cents.

The rule is quite flexible. We generally post the solutions anyway.

Why don't you go PM AIME15 regarding this rule?
