AGMath MATHCOUNTS challenge
on AGMath.com

I just posted in the appropriate competition forum, but I suspect this will be of interest to many who may not frequent that forum ...

I will be running an informal competition for anyone interested which will begin on November 13th, 2009. I know, the AMC8 is that week, but this may be a good tune-up or post-AMC8 set for many ... answers will be due by the following Friday. There will be at least 4 additional rounds in the next 2 months and it should be a great way to prepare for MATHCOUNTS.

The format is essentially a MATHCOUNTS Warm-Up in the Warm-Up 15-18+ range for which you will have 20 minutes without a calculator to answer as many questions correctly as possible. I will post results on my site, www.agmath.com on the AGMath Challenge page here.

I hope enough of you will be interested in participating.

Questions? Post in this thread.

Problems are posted here ... enjoy! Please read and follow the directions on the linked page before attempting the set and strictly follow the time limit of 20 minutes with no calculator.

The forum topic for this discussion is here. Please post there if you have questions, and I will only bump this thread when a new set is posted (if that is alright with the mods) ... thanks!

Discuss here.

Thanks to all who participated in round 1. You have 2 weeks for round 2 because of the holiday.
