• Articles. The ones most relevant for beginning students are What is Problem Solving?, Stop Making Stupid Mistakes, and Stupid Questions.
• Books. You'll want to start with those in the Getting Started section.
• Contests. MATHCOUNTS is the most appropriate for middle school students. The AMC-8 is also very good for middle schoolers, and very advanced middle school students should try the USAMTS.
• Summer Programs. The Center for Talented Youth, EPGY, and MathPath all have programs for middle school students.
