Its the extension of the binomial theorem for non-(positive integer) exponents, yes. (note that {r\choose k} really is a polynomial in r, hence the result). Azjps (talk) 22:09, 29 April 2008 (UTC)
But look at the exponent in y. --1=2 13:09, 5 May 2008 (UTC)
