Talk:Pigeonhole Principle

From AoPSWiki

I think we need solutions too. [chess64]

I think examples with solutions are good. It's probably also good to pick out two Intro problems, two Intermediate problems, and two Olympiad problems, with solutions to each. While that might not happen in one day, it's a good way to organize content, letting the concept advance for the reader.--MCrawford 23:18, 17 June 2006 (EDT)

Took this off the main page:

Can users find some?

You could paste in these... (maybe, just a suggestion)

A question, and a comment.

  • Question : Are there hide tags on AoPSWiki, or should we just write the solution out beneath the problem?
  • Comment : Usually it's best not to add a link to a page that redirects to the page you're already on.

Sorry about the slightly sarcastic comment. I hadn't realized that when the link to Dirichlet Principle was created, the page for Dirichlet principle didn't exist yet. —Boy Soprano II 14:45, 26 July 2006 (EDT)

There is some syntax that does that on Wikipedia, but when I tried it nothing happened. I'm going to try to add solutions to Pigeonhole Principle/Solutions, then link to them. (btw, I'm not good at writing solutions, so someone else please go thru them.) Azjps 14:54, 29 January 2007 (EST)

Organizing examples

The example problems should be ordered according to difficulty, with categories for intro, intermediate, and Olympiad problems. This goes for problems in all topic articles.--MCrawford 02:51, 5 August 2006 (EDT)
