Talk:Quadratic

From AoPSWiki

I don't think this page should be linked straight to quadratic equation because quadratic has its own definition that is worthy of explanation.--MCrawford 02:04, 18 June 2006 (EDT)

I would make the article if I knew if xy+x+y+1=0 was a quadratic, or just an equation of order two... --1=2 12:51, 21 April 2008 (UTC)

"Quadratic" means "degree two." So the expression xy + x + y is linear in x, linear in y and quadratic in x and y. --JBL 16:54, 22 April 2008 (UTC)
